Forrest Gump Report Abuse
There is no one in the world who did not love this movie. I am convinced. It is super long, but the greatest thing is that this seemingly mentally slow man is a part of some of the greatest and most famous things to ever happen in history and he tells the story like it is nothing. He proves that it is not where you have been or what you have done, but who you are that matters. And it's fun to watch.

Titanic Report Abuse
Many people will disagree with this choice, I understand that. There are a few reasons I am choosing it. First of all, it is one of the greatest love stories ever told. Second, it put Leonardo DiCaprio on the map and he has done amazing things ever since. And third, It is really, truly, a great movie. I understand that it's not a true story, but based on a true event. I am ok with that. I love this movie.

American History X Report Abuse
A skinhead goes to jail for murder, learns a lot about himself and racism while in prison, and emerges determined to save his family from the life he created for them, not realizing how far gone everyone really is. The ending to this movie physically and emotionally hurts to watch.

American Beauty Report Abuse
Paints a picture of the imperfection of perfect suburbia. A philandering father with little self-esteem who is constantly berated by his control-hungry wife and then seduced by the teenage girl who really wants to be promiscuous, and the military father who hides a painful secret until he reaches his breaking point. This is one of those movies you never forget.

Talk about a twist. At the end of this movie I looked at my mother, sitting next to me in the theater, and we both said "you have got to be kidding me". It takes a really talented kid to steal the show from Bruce Willis but Haley Joel Osment does it. This is a psychological thriller that will stand the test of time and, by far, M. Night Shyalaman's greatest feat.
