Battle of Moscow Report Abuse
9 points - added 8 years ago by irina - 1 comment
Comments:
In this battle the fate of the Sovietunion was at stake. Because the Russian winter came sooner as expected and hit the German army in their summer equipment so hard that more soldiers died of death from exposure to cold and exhaustian than from hostile fire, the Germans had to stop 20 km in front of Moscow from where the government fled. If Moscow had fallen, the Russaians had lost the war. But the wetsern allies sent supplies and fed the wrong pig as Churchill said later.
