Walter Payton Report Abuse
"Sweetness" was by all accounts the greatest RB to ever play. Pro Bowls every year of his career (6 in the 70s), MVP of 1977 and consistently was the highest or second highest rusher each season.

Almost invented the dual-threat back position -- receiver & rusher. Caried the ball like a loaf of bread and had the baddest spin move ever! 3 Super Bowls, too!

Comments:
The 70's Packers were horrible. Brockington was a superior player with no blocking, no complimentary offensive weapons, and no defense to give him a break. He broke 1000 yards, virtually on his own.
