Greatest Harry Potter Characters

A misunderstood character who ends up being a beloved favorite must always have a place near the top of the list.

I like how he's in this, because even though he hated James, and saw a lot of James in Harry he gave his life for him, and worked for years undercover, putting his life on the line just because he had loved his mother; the term don't judge a book by it's cover really comes in here.

Should be higher on the list.

Ron has a temper and he's often a bit behind, but he is faithful in the end.

In the first book Hermoine says that books and studying (or something like that) can only take you so far, that what courage, friendship are the things that really matter. But aside from that Hermoine became more of a witch from that book, for example she was tortured in Malfoy Manor by Belatrix and she didn't cave in, and of course she kept two best friends for so long so obviously she ticked the box for friendship.

Brains and beauty make Hermione one of the greatest witches in the whole series.

They need more love.

Harry is sweet, courageous, brave, loyal, willing to die for his friends, LITERALLY!

No story is complete without a hero: Harry is the greatest.

I don't agree with tswisely. Yes you need a villain for a story, but he/she doesn't need to be a black and uninteresting as Voldemort.

There is no action without a perfectly evil villain.

Nevile should be higher up, as in the first book he stood up to his friends, then in the 7th book we find out all that Neville did.

The BEST female character in the whole series. She is just as good as Hermione in my opinion. Fiery, loyal, brave, skilled, and funny, she's right up with Harry in my book.
