What about Fiendfyre? That's just a massive swirl of flames that can easily incinerate people, getting rid of their bodies as well, and could probably cancel spells. Maybe it could also be focused as a blast, making it more powerful.

Dumbledores firestorm spell is the most powerful spell used in the inferi cave is the most powerful. It can incinerate 100 opponents at once, creates impenetrable shield and would engulf anyone who tries to go through it.

@Conall No, Voldemort didn't know about the twin cores and harry's wand was rather good at magic. Harry is the greatest wizard, Avada Kedavra is powerful, say that it is not to a dark wizard and see what happens to you.

Avada Kedavra is very powerful, but not the most powerful. I think Bombarda Maxima is the most powerful. I mean it blasted into the room of requirement. Just Bombarda without maxima can blast through jail bars. The spell literally creates explosions.

There is no magical way to stop this spell and if you cast it at a wall its like you hit it with a freaking grenade launcher. I dont see how you think that this is anything less that the most powerful spell, except for maybe fiendfyre.

really? making someone drop dead isn't really that diffcult, even a muggle can do that with terrifying ease....albeit quite a bit louder!
naturally, in a muggle world, without any other wizard to identify the cause of death it would be very powerful...

With Imperio you can CONTROL people. Command them to do everything. Avada Kedavra kills? With Imperio you can make someone use avada kedavra on themselves. Do the math, you have more benefits with Imperio. :)

A almost unstoppable fire spell which burn anything in its path, including nearly indistructable substances such as horcruxes. This fire is nearly impossible to control. Only the most powerful people like Voldemort of Dumbledore can control it and even hermione said that she doubted if she could control it. It is said to be as hot as dragon fire.
