Title track, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, She's Leaving Home, Fixing a Hole, With a Little Help From My Friends, A Day in the Life, etc. Truly phenomenal album from the single greatest rock band of all time. And the first of what are sure to be multiple Beatles' albums on this list.

At the risk of catching heat for putting 2 Beatles albums in the top 5, it needs to be done! I could just list "all Beatles albums" as one of the top 5 because they are all undoubtedly superb, but it does not do them justice to clump them all together and does not help the most amazing one to stand out. Abbey Road. Amazing.

A headbanger's dream and the beginning of a heavier, rowdier, sound. By far the best AC/DC album. So good that even though I am not particularly a fan of AC/DC I could not deny this album a spot in my top 5.

Many people underestimate Nirvana and the impact that they had on the music world, because they were a living, breathing, part of it for such a little time. But alternative/rock music would not be where it is without these boys from Seattle. They truly started the angst/grunge era and Nevermind was their stepping stone to being infamous.

The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Listening to this album makes me feel like I am alone in a room lit up by black lights, smelling of patchouli and incense. But it is incredible. It is truly relaxing and brings your mind to a different place. And it is undoubtedly one of the most famous albums, and cover arts, ever known. Then there's that whole Wizard of Oz thing...
