I had a 69 Chevelle SS396 back in the day and among the crowd dragging stock on the weekends, if either guy who had a Hemi Cuda showed up the rest of us were running for second place. And almost every car on this list came to those races sooner or later. The only guy who had a chance was Eddie who had a 69 Roadrunner 440.

Horse power was much higher than Chevrolet rated it. It actually had over 300 HP.
The Z28 was a very sharp and a very fast car.
