Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

This movie took four years to make. The visuals were a tremendous accomplishment at the time due to the realism of the animation.

Mortal Kombat

Unlike a lot of video game adaptations, Mortal Kombat was at least close to an adaptation of the game. The movie is cheesy at parts, but sometimes that is what makes it enjoyable. One thing they got right was the amount of action.

Although it failed as a promising Silent Hill movie, the visuals were close to what audiences wanted to see. This ranks in the top five due to the horror atmosphere accurately being conveyed in the film.

Resident Evil

Not even close to what gamers wanted out of a Resident Evil movie, but it is entertaining and packs a lot of action. Also, this is before we realized just how downhill the other movies would go.
