Cinnabar Moth Caterpillar Report Abuse
Their brightly colored skin indicates that they are dangerous. Their sting usually causes rash but there have also been several deaths caused by that insect.

Wattle Cup Caterpillar Report Abuse
It is brightly colored and looks like a piece of rock candy, however you should not touch one of these as the pain caused by their stings is said to be worse than being stung by three wasps.

Son brushed past a wild plum tree in our yard and ran up to the house in pain didnt know why. After inspecting the area he ran from, there was the unexpected wattle cup caterpillar. He was in a great deal of pain. I have been trying to find info. what symtems or affects you get from touching one. Today he has welts on his arm and very itchy.QLD, Bajool.

Stinging Rose Caterpillar Report Abuse
Another very colourful caterpillar. It has long yellow spines, which almost call you to touch it, which would be an awful idea as it stings.
