The longest-serving president of all time, Franklin Deleno Roosevelt, often referred to as "FDR", is credited with creating the famous New Deal programs that created millions of jobs and with giving millions of Americans hope during the Great Depression. He is also known for ending America's isolationist foreign policy during World War II, and providing strong leadership during this war.
