In a small country of south-east Asia called Cambodia, during the years 802 AD and 1431 AD, was in control of one of the most powerful kingdoms in south-east Asia called the Khmer Empire. Their capital in Cambodia (at the time) was called Angkor and some of the ancient buildings still remain in good conditions and attract tourists every year.

The Halong Bay is on the coast of Vietnam, in the Tonkin Gulf, and it's basically a bay where you can find mountains or areas of high land sticking out of the water like tall islands in the middle of nowhere. Also, it's an area where loads of ships and sailing boats pass by every day.

Fjords are long narrow inlets with steep sides created in a valley by wlacial activity. The most biggest fjords are in Norway, close to the Preikestolen cliff. Here you can get spectacular views.

In between the countries of southern Africa called Zimbabwe an Zambia, there are humungous falls called the Victorian Waterfalls. This waterfall is one of the largest in the world, based on a width of 1,708 metres and height of 108 metres, and that's the reason why it's on the World Heritage Site List.

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometres over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres. The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in north-east Australia. It was selected a world heritage site by the UNESCO in 1981.

In between Canada and the USA, you can find the most powerful waterfall in North America. It's so big, 6 million cubic feet of water falls from it every minute and tourists have to go by boat and can't go to close because of its strength and power.

This city is built with buildings carved into mountains in the northern parts of Arabia. This city was built by the Nabatean people which formed part of the Petra Empire. Tourists go there every year to go inside these amazing cave like buildings. According to historians, the carving could take a whole year for one building.

On the south-west of Bolivian you can find the largest salt lesert in the world. The Salar of Uyuni has 10,582 square kilometres of pure salt from the sea. There is so much salt, tourists go there to visit it every month.

In this area of South America, in a small country called Myanmar, there are ancient pyramids/temples which the Mayans built thousands of years ago in a plain called Pagodas Plain. These ancient buildings attract a lot of tourists every year, even though the country isn't very known.

The way the gigantic sand dunes blow with the wind like waves of the ocean can be very attractive. Not a lot of people go to the Sahara (or even live there) but some say it is pretty amazing.
