Seven people in the Chicago area died after taking Tylenol pills that had been tampered with and laced with potassium cyanide. Johnson & Johnson issued a nationwide recall of all Tylenol products and the FDA tightened restrictions to prevent further product tampering. The deaths were deemed homicides, but the criminals who did the deed have never been discovered.
