The Babe was a great player, to be sure, statistically the best who ever played. But the talent pool was much smaller and more limited when he played. No blacks, Dominicans, Mexicans, etc... As a trailblazer he had no equal, but I'm not sure he's the best of all.

Rewind to the late 90's through recent years. Whenever enter sandman played i got a rock in my stomach and if you are anything but a yankee fan you knew that your team was about to go 1 2 and 3 goodnight.. I'm a sox fan but this little Costa Rican is the GOAT.
