Matia Bazar is an Italian musical group formed in Genoa in 1975. The original members of the group are Piero Cassano, Aldo Stellita and Carlo Marrale. Antonella Ruggiero was the first singer in the group. The group represented Italy in the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest with a song called Raggio di Luna. Ti Sento was their major hit. It was number one in Belgium and Italy. "Vacanza Romane" (1983) was the major hit in Italy.

Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM) (translation: Award-winning Marconi Bakery) is an Italian progressive rock band. They were the first Italian band to have success abroad, entering both the British and American charts. Between 1973 and 1977 they released five albums with English lyrics for the international market. They also had several successful European and American tours, even playing at the popular Reading Festival in England and appearing on a very popular national television program in the U.S.A. The group was formed officially in 1970 and it is still active on the present.

New Trolls are an Italian progressive rock band, known for their fusion of rock and classical music. Their history is filled with line-up changes, band name changes and struggles between band members. The group was formed in 1967. "Quella carezza della sera" (1978; the group was scissed already one time) is one of the more populars hit of the group.

The group was formed in 1963 and it is still in activity. Best period were the 60's and the begin of 70's. L'ora dell'amore (1967) is one of the their major hits.

The group had two period: since 1962 to 1979 and since 1984 till the prent. Maurizio Vandelli is in both case the voice. "29 Settembre" (1967), written by Lucio Battisti is probably their major hits and one of the most popular Italian song.

Modà is an Italian pop band from Milan. Formed in 2002, the lead singer of the band is Kekko Silvestre. In February 2011, the band participated in the 61st Sanremo Music Festival, placing second in the Big Artists Section with their entry "Arriverà", a duet with Italian singer Emma.

Tiromancino is an Italian pop group founded in 1989. It was started by Federico Zampaglione and has released 9 albums. Their music is a subtle blend of folk and electronica. The singer-songwriter of the band Federico Zampaglione is the son of a famous Italian poet and he has set some of his father's poetry to music. "Per me è importante", "l'alba di domani" are some their popular hits.

Bluvertigo is an Italian band formed in 1992. Their first name was "Golden Age" and former members are Morgan (Marco Castoldi), Andy (Andrea Fumagalli) and Marco Pancaldi. In 1994 Sergio Carnevale joined the band while in 1996 Pancaldi left the band and Livio Magnini entering in his role.

Subsonica is an Italian Rock band that was formed in 1996. Their eponymous debut album debuted in the spring of 1997. The band gained real success in 2000 by playing the Sanremo Music Festival. The first two singles from the album Microchip emozionale, "Tutti i miei sbagli" ("All my mistakes") and "Discolabirinto" ("Disco Labyrinth") were hits. Their latest studio album, L'Eclissi was released in 2007.
