Easy to care for, docile, can keep one well in a 10 gallon aquarium. Probably THE BEST reptile to keep as a first pet.

Ball Python

Comments:
Easy to handle, some seem to enjoy "cuddling" with people. Just be sure to get one that is captive bred! Wild caught ball pythons are not as docile and often have parasites.
