Wierdness and possible criminality aside, Michael Jackson changed the face of dance, just by doing what he naturally did - amazing to watch.
Comments:
The robotic-mime dance in Human nature is amazing to watch. He is really the best dancer ever. King of Music and dance.

Michael Jackson is #1., noone else in this list changed the culture of the entire country., and he has got to be the only person who EVERYONE in the world knows his name

Gene Kelly did everything in Hollywood but his dance was remarkable. Singin' In The Rain is his most famous, but I fell in love with Gene Kelly in Brigadoon.
13.
He's really good! He combines the dance moves of Michael Jackson and other to make his own style.
14.
No one else could possibly be in the top spot. He was a pioneer and visionary and the dancing or television world would not be what it is today with Astaire.

Baryshnikov gave male dancers validity in the eyes of the public like they had never had before, and made it acceptable in society for boys to follow their dreams to dance.
Comments:
Mikhail barshnikov was easily the greatest balet dancer of his generation perhaps ever he does not deserve the shoddy 15th place he deserves a lot higher because his way with dance is truly a marvel to behold (I've seen him dance first hand at te met in NYC and I'm sorry but I'd like to see chris brown and Michael Jackson do those moves)

Rain (Bi in Korean) is a Korean pop mega-superstar. He was born Jung Ji-hoon in Seoul, Korea, in 1982. Rain became interested in dancing and singing when he was in middle school, and in 1998 began performing professionally with a short-lived boy band called "Fanclub." After Fanclub dissolved, he signed on with South Korea's JYP Entertainment talent agency (JYPE), which employed him as a back-up dancer and helped him sharpen his skills as a performer.
In 2002, he debuted as a solo artist for JYPE, taking on his stage name of Rain--adopting the very idea of the element of "rain" as his moniker, so that in any given country, he would be billed as the word for "rain" in that particular language. His debut album, "Bi, Vol. 1," and his first single "Bad Guy," were released that same year. Both were huge successes. Since then Rain has recorded many more albums, has won many awards for his music, and has steadily grown to become one of Asia's most popular performers. Concurrently, he also has pursued a successful career in acting.
Rain's live performances are amazing to watch, and he is an mesmerizing dancer. His idols were Michael Jackson and Fred Astaire and it shows--although Rain has moves of his own that certainly make him stand out as his own talent. If that isn't enough enough reasoning as to why he should not be highly ranked on this list, then GOOGLE him and get ready to be amazed.

He is extremely good, especially at a young age. He looks up to MJ and he combines Michael's moves with his own. He has great energy and he's a wonderful performer. One of the best dancers of this decade I say!

The Nicholas Brothers come to the stage for “Jumpin’ Jive” in the classic 1943 film, “Stormy Weather.” Unrivaled athleticism and elegance were the hallmark of The Nicholas Brothers, Fayard (1914-2006) and Harold (1921-2000). They enthralled audiences with their unforgettable performances in films. The brothers danced, sang, and acted together all the way up to the early 1990s when they made a memorable appearance in Janet Jackson’s “Alright” video with other legends like the great dancer Cyd Charisse and Mr. Calloway.
