What else could be #1? The phenomenon of this place, the variations in colors and landscape depending on the time or day you view it, the wildlife and just the sheer immensity makes this the winner.

One of the most amazing sights you will ever see, this is like Disneyland for naturalists. You have to travel to what feels like the center of the earth, and then you are a part of a whole other world, complete with amazing objects and formations you have never seen or maybe even heard of. Fantastic - plan to spend the whole day!
3.
This is a really well-planned park. Not only can you just stare and breathe in the beautiful mountains and valley meadows, but the Smoky Mountain Park has an area of original homesteads, where you can see pretty clearly how the first settlers lived and imagine how it was. There is also a "waterfall tour" of the park that will keep you busy all day.

You and your family can explore these rocks, creeks and hills for days and never get bored. It is so beautiful and varied.
