It is a tragicomedy by the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. Uncle Vanya is a story about the waste life, about all we miss in our life and it creates melancholic mood or atmosphere.

It is inspired by the three Brontë sisters. This playwright tell us a story about the life ofthree sisters: Olga Serghyeevna Prozorova (Olia), the eldest of the three sisters, the mother of the family, Maria Serghyeevna Koolyghin (Masha) - The middle sister, she is 22 at the beginning of the play and Irena Serghyeevna Prozorova, the youngest sister, she is 20 at the beginning of the play.

By his play, the author gained popularity and appreciation among the people in the world. It is a story about a widow, Popova who is still in deep mourning seven months after her husband's death. He complains about his housband behavior, his rude attitude about her.
