A legendarily bad gimmick, go check out his debut on YouTube. Not only is the costume ridiculous, he enters at the wrong time and falls flat on his face. Nice.
2.
Yes, you read that right. In his match against Ric Flair Sting enlisted the help of...a half cyborg, crime fighting movie character. When something is so silly and lame that even six year olds don't find it believable you know you screwed up.
3.
A seven foot wrestler they decided to wrap in wet toilet paper and pretend he's the Abominable Snowman. Amazingly, it wasn't too popular with fans.
7.
The PG Era personified. Has a love affair for John Cena and predictable kiddy friendly storylines. often a big reason great wrestlers get saddled with awful angles and gimmicks.
9.
When Scott Hall and Kevin Nash jumped ship to WCW the WWF just replaced them with different people.

Mike Awesome was the badass, tough guy ECW Champion. He jumped ship to WCW for more money, and was rewarded with this ridiculous gimmick were he was stuck in the 70s. They then turned up into a 70s Guy who chases fat chicks. Then he died. Poor Mike Awesome.

A character from the movie "No Holds Barred" who was the rival of Hulk Hogan's character. Vince McMahon thought it a good idea to bring the actor who played him into the WWF to feud with Hogan, booking him as "unbeatable". The sad thing is, Zeus never won a single match...

Another really bad 1970s era gimmick from the brain trust over at WCW in the 90s, Disco Inferno was so hated as a character it almost began to work in his advantage. A subpar worker and terrible of the mike, people still remember the wrestler you would bust out Saturday Night Fever moves in the ring. Yes, its as bad as it sounds.

The only way Vince McMahon tried to antagonize Ted Turner by creating this frivolous angle

Well,Johnny B. Badd(Marc Mero,later "Wildman"
Marc Mero in WWF[now WWE])was a REALLY GOOD,athletic,deceptively strong for his size-about
6'1'',225-235 lb.,rather small in wrestling's steroids
era-and quite handsome.(Yes,I'm a dude;the "quite handsome" part is a lot of ladies' description of me!!!),but this being WCW in the 80's,where they were afraid that promoting a
black stud might upset the good ol' boys, they turned Mero into an androgynous,Little Richard
sort of character who, though he pined over
buxom blonde U.K. lass Lady Blossom(Jeannie
Clark,then "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's wife,J.B.
B's psuedo-gay persona could make his "desire'
for Blossom(and real-life marriage to then then
Rena "Sable" Greek another buxom blonde)
more palatable to the powers-that-be.
