My Favorite Comedies on TV

As any die hard fan and Simpsons scholar knows, the show has been a steady decline for the last 13 years. Still, the fact that its lame now and has hung around too long shouldn't take away from the fact that for its first 8 or so seasons it was the funniest, best written, most brilliantly satirical show on TV.

Perhaps no sitcom blended critical acclaim and mainstream appeal so well. This show featured FOUR brilliant comic characters who could hold entire episodes by themselves. A pop culture phenomenon, the jokes, catchphrases and characters of this show transcended TV and became a part of our national identity.

The fact that the ratings for this show ere so bad honestly makes me lose faith in humanity. Please go watch the three seasons of this show on DVD. It is simply the most original, hilarious, inventive show to be on network TV in 25 years. I guess I shouldn't be surprised it got canceled. After all, we need more Reality Dance Competitions.

Please check this show out on HBO if you haven't already. Its weird and off beat but trust me, this is the best comedic muscial act in the world. These boys can sing, write music and there hilarious to boot. BINARY SOLO!

This cult classic ran for ten seasons on Comedy Central and the Sci Fi Channel. In my mind this show has the greatest premise ever - people mocking bad movies. Everyone does it, and there are few things more fun.
