Magnets
They are cheap, come in huge variety and have the name of the place you visited. Great conversation starter when people come over or we have a dinner party and it is a daily reminder of all the wonderful places we have been. Seeing them in the morning brings back a new happy memory every morning, its a great way to start a day!

My mother recently passed away. In life, she collected statues of elephants, as well as household items with pictures of elephants on them. After she died, our family members kept a few and gave away the rest.
The elephant items were my mother's legacy. People who got one or more of her "treasures" will tell stories about knowing her and her collection.
