A crate labeled with name, cell number, address and vet's contact information Report Abuse
9 points - added 14 years ago by danielleblasko - 1 comment
Comments:
It is important for each cat to have their own crate, and especially that it is labeled in case the owner is not home when disaster strikes so that a rescuer will know how to get in touch with them.

Medications Report Abuse
8 points - added 14 years ago by danielleblasko - 1 comment
Comments:
If a cat requires medication, like humans, they cannot go for long without them, and in the case of a disaster finding a vet to prescribe medications may be difficult.

Comments:
Cats have to eat! In the case of a disaster it may be awhile before one is able to reach a pet store to obtain food, especially if the cat is on any specialty diet.

Copies of health records Report Abuse
6 points - added 14 years ago by danielleblasko - 1 comment
Comments:
This goes along with giving permission for a vet to treat the cat, so that the doctor, if not a familiar one, will be able to successfully treat the feline. It is also important so that a rescuer will know the that the feline is up-to-date on vaccines, like the rabies vaccine for instance.
