Use big labeled boxes or bins...Keep but move, Store, Give away, Throw away. As you are cleaning, toss things that are out of place or that you don't want or need anymore in the appropriate box

This way you will have something finished before you start the next one. If you do all the windows, then all the dusting, then all the floors....If you are interrupted...nothing is DONE.

Start from the top down in each room Report Abuse
Dust will fall to the floor. You don't want to clean the floor and then dust the ceiling fan. Work from the top down.

Take down draperies, curtains, blinds, etc, to wash or have cleaned according to the directions. And wash the windows inside and out. Vacuum out window sills. Take down and rinse screens.

Don't forget fixtures. Launder or clean your shower curtain and replace the shower curtain liner. Clean shower doors. Dissolve soap scum buildup

Dust wall and ceiling and vents and ceiling fixtures. Take down draperies, curtains, blinds, etc, to wash or have cleaned according to the directions. And wash the windows inside and out. Vacuum out window sills. Take down and rinse screens.

Top down, then inside out. Take everything out of the cupboards, clean and possibly reline the shelves and reorganize. all the while remember to declutter.
