A great British author writing novels based on her life as a school teacher in villages across England.....wonderful descriptions of life in small villages and of the cranky, odd, friendly and often hilarious, people that live in them. Having written several different series of life in different villages, you become well acquainted with the inhabitants - a 'can't wait to get the next book' feeling.
