Devils Elbow- Florence, Oregon Report Abuse
Often cold and windy, it has a wild beauty. From the beach there are fabulous views of Haceta Head light house. You can visit the tide pools and wade in the water. There are hobbit trails and a fabulous bridge over a fresh water stream with the water trickling into the ocean. The sand is salt and pepper, the water cold and teaming with life.

Swim with the dolphins, lie in a hammock, and paddle a kayak— this beach has it all! For kids and adults of all ages you can be as active or as lazy as you want. Picnic foods, a bar and facilities including showers and a gift shop. This is a place where you can create memories to last a lifetime.

Green Sand Beach – Big Island, Hawaii Report Abuse
This is a family beach for an active family with older teens. It will give them a great sense of adventure and discovery, taking a long, 2 ¼ mile one-way hike, a medium tough decent down a lava rock cliff —to discover what feels like a secret beach. What a great bonding experience when you dig your toes into the green sand at the bottom.

Punalu’u Black Sand Beach – Big Island, Hawaii Report Abuse
This easily accessible, genuine black sand beach is one of our family's favorite places in the world. The grainy, reflective black sand is unparalleled. Backed by palm trees and a freshwater pond, the scenery here is great. We've never been to this beach when we haven’t seen sea turtles.

Hapuna Beach – Big Island, Hawaii Report Abuse
With fine golden sand stretched for a ½ mile along the coast and over 200 feet wide, this is the ultimate frolicking beach. The water is clean and clear and great for swimming, boogie boarding or a little light bodysurfing. It is a heavily populated beach, so it’s great for metal detectors. Fabulous sunsets and full facilities, including a snack shack with shaved ice.
