Mandingo [1975]

It starred James Mason, Susan George and Perry King. According to IMDb, the story line was about a slave owner in the 1840s who trains one of his slaves to be a bare-knuckle fighter. Because of all the controversy over the film, condemned by the majority of critics and the public as well, it has not been screened for an audience since it came out and has not been released on DVD. It is the only film of which I'm aware that has been shut down by elements of the movie distribution industry.
