Theodore Roosevelt Report Abuse
He was a leader of the Progressive Party; governor of New York; and a professional historian, naturalist, explorer, hunter, author, and soldier. He is most famous for his personality: his energy, his vast range of interests and achievements, his model of masculinity, and his "cowboy" image. Originating from a story from one of Roosevelt's hunting expeditions, teddy bears are named after him.

We were lucky to have him there when McKinley was assassinated. His legacy as President is still being felt. A remarkable man.....

Garret Hobart, should have been the best vice presidents of all time, but is one of the best

McKinley's right hand man, no President-VP combo were more together. McKinley genuinely trusted the input of Hobart, who died in 1899, opening the door for Teddy Roosevelt o become VP. Hobart is quite possibly the most powerful vice president of all time.

Hubert H. Humphrey Report Abuse
36 points - added 14 years ago by mdolleris - 1 comment
Comments:
I don't like Democrats, but when it comes to Humphrey, it must say he's a great Vice President. Humphrey was able to protest the Vietnam War, and his ability to lead was a honorific move and my reputations grade him as one of the best Vice Presidents.

Best VP. The first modern vice president and strengthened the office considerably. Too bad he lost the 1984 election.
