Touch of Evil Report Abuse
Charlton Heston as Ramon? Gotta scratch your head at that, but Orson Welles pulls out one brilliant piece of acting here.

Shane Report Abuse
The best western of all time. Look at those muddy streets, the town that must have been what the real western towns looked like. The villains. The hero. Come back, Shane, come back!

Life is Beautiful Report Abuse
Roberto Benigni created a masterpiece and a miracle: a comedy about the Nazi extermination camps, but a comedy with such grace and beauty that humanity itself is almost redeemed.

City Lights Report Abuse
The very best of Chaplin and that means quite a lot. The scene of the tramp at the end with the girl and the handing over of the flower...the most perfect scene in the movies, rivaled only by some in The Third Man.

Henry Fonda as the perfect villain. Sergio Leone. Charles Bronson. The best of the spaghetti westerns.

The Third Man Report Abuse
The most perfect gem of a movie. Great acting (Orson Welles, Joseph Cotton), sympathetic heroine (Alida Valli), a plot from a master (Graham Greene), and unbelievable lighting (Robert Krasker). Perfection on film.

Often overlooked, but has masterful acting and even better direction. And it is a thoughtful film with questions about civilization and nature.
