Best Xbox Live Arcade Games

2008's Live Arcade Game of the Year may be the best Arcade game released ever. Featuring 4-player co-op beat-em-up action locally or over Live, this game is charming, quirky, all-around excellent. Great fun for everyone!

For those that didn't want to buy The Orange Box to play Portal, Arcade brought an extended version in late 2008. This is one of those games that can (and maybe should) be played through in one sitting. Compelling game play and a great sense of humor and style make Portal a must-play.

A puzzle-platformer with great style, Braid is not only a fine game to play, but also makes for good viewing. You may find yourself tearing your hair out as you try to wrap your ahead around some of the levels. Have fun!

Did the nerd-masses not collectively sacrifice enough to the arcade-gods of the 1980's? Clearly not, as Pac-Man CE destroys all notions of Pac-Man as antiquated or "past-its-prime." CE is a hip, techno-thundering, score-attack revision of the old Pac-Man formula. It is sweet addiction. At least you don't have to pump it full of quarters.

While the first Geometry Wars practically defined what a great Live Arcade game should be, the sequel improves on it in every way. Great style, great game play. A shoot-em-up classic.
