Story of a guy who disired his dream come true so much that he sacrificed all peaople who had great faith in him and from their messiah turned into their traitor and tormentor, and all of this illustrated very suggestively. He's perfect villain cause while reading manga like in main character Gutts, that in you hate for Griffith is growing, and it ends in will to kill him for what he did.

7.
The single most famous character to come out of the Gundam franchise. If he wasn't somewhat of an anti-hero/anti-villain, he'd be even higher. Amuro Ray's archrival and one of the best pilots in all of Zeon. His final ultimate plan in Char's Counterattack was to drop the asteriod Axis on Earth to cause eternal winter and force people to move into space. That's pretty nuts!
9.
The main character and protagonist/antagonist of Death Note. A teenager whose megalomania convinces him that he can essentially play God and decide who lives and who dies by utilizing the Death Note as a tool. He controls the entire world and its opinions through the book for a decently long time, overcoming every obstacle in front of him with his brilliant mind. It is only when communication with one of his followers breaks down and he makes one little mistake that his reign of terror finally comes to an end.

Shagia and Olba Frost, the antagonists of "After War Gundam X". This demonic duo were manipulative, skilled, and downright creepy!

The main villain of Gundam Seed, a clone of Al Da Flaga. Despite his brilliance, he was inherently flawed because of his rapid aging. He took medication to try and control the process, but if he missed it, he would suffer intense pain. The result of this harsh life was that he made the decision to kill everyone, both Naturals and Coordinators. Thus, he manipulates almost all of the events of Gundam Seed from behind the scenes.
18.
A man who filled a void in his heart with the power of demons and the glory of bloody battle with tough opponents. He may not have been the most obviously villainous person on this list, but he was enigmatic and extremely dangerous. Yusuke's fight against him was the height of Yu Yu Hakusho.
22.
The brilliant and manipulative swordsman and leader of the Juppongatana and one of the main villains of Rurouni Kenshin. This man was the single toughest character the whole series, despite having his flesh burned and his body thus weakened. He broke Sanosuke's hand, manipulated everyone, including his own soldiers, and he only lost because his core body temperature rose too high. Otherwise, Kenshin could never have beaten him.
