Heath Ledger and his great interpretation of the Joker will be remembered forever. If Heath was still alive the Dark Knight Rises film would have been ten time better.
WHY SO SERIOUS?!? (Line from Heath Ledger playing as the Joker in Batman in his last movie)
i think he should be number 1. he is definetly one of the greatest actors i have ever seen. I don't have the best nose for talents, but I know that he would be one of the greatest actors in the century.
His role as the Joker in "The Dark Knight" will probably go down as an all time classic.

Young up and coming Australian beauty that won the part that most actresses her age would fight for. Tim Burton's Alice.
Comments:
Why must you objectify women by classifying them as a "beauty"? Is that really nessecary? Maybe perhaps "a fabulous actress" would be better next time.
Yes, Mia is still very young and yes there are more famous people out there, however being famous isn't always a good thing.
Mia has kept a low profile since Alice but there's something about her that screams staying power.

An actor so good that he could be mistaken for a British actor. He has been in many different Shakespearean plays, including The Winter's Tale and Troilus and Cressida, and he is also well-known for his roles as Captain Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean, Philip Henslowe in Shakespeare in Love, and Sir Francis Walsingham in Elizabeth.

Geoffrey Rush is amazing! What a truly skilled actor. He should have won the Oscar for The Kings Speech!!!!!!!! He really deserved it!
Geoffrey Rush I one of the Worlds best actors in my opinion. He is versatile and brings humanity to each of his characters fictional or not. He is amazing to look at and he is not sucked into the Celebrity machine. I admire him as an actor and as a person. He was the first Aussie to win an Oscar and that on his first go at an intnernational film. Since 1996 Shine he made over 20 films and continues to delight audiences with his skill and craftmanship on Stage as well. He should be number one on this list.

Comments:
Damn! Didn't know he was a Kiwi - couldn't figure out what I didn't like about him till now!
He is indeed a kiwi, but he's lived most of his life in Australia, as he moved there when he was four. He even owns an Australian rugby team, so I guess it's fair to call him an aussie. I am planning to move to Australia in a couple of years and I wouldn't mind to be called an aussie after obtaining citizenship. In fact, I would quite like it :)

Excuse me, but it's kind of stupid you are objectifying this woman. She may be attractive, but this, if I'm not mistaken is the list of top 20 Australian actors, meaning the people on this list are there because of their talent, not their looks.
