It's true, sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Cheers was the bar we all wished we had in our neighborhood, and the lovable regulars became regulars in our own lives.

The Seavers were the family next door, which was part of their huge appeal. We could all recognize and appreciate the everyday problems that they faced, and it was nice to see everything tied up neatly in half an hour.

Everyone wanted to be a Cosby or to be friends with the Cosbys. They were the greatest TV family ever created, and the comedy of Bill Cosby was the bright spot in every episode.

Family Ties was one of the greatest sitcoms of the 80s largely due to the acting talent of Michael J. Fox. Alex P. Keaton was one of the best characters ever created.
