Strawberry Shortcake

She's always cheerful and helpful, which makes Strawberry Shortcake a wonderful character for children. Plus, her "berry speak" (i.e., substituting the word "berry" for words that rhyme with berry) is cute and funny.

The original "baby" of Strawberryland, Apple Dumplin' is absolutely adorable.

Huckleberry Pie

The only male in Strawberryland, the original version of Huckleberry Pie was obviously a tribute to Huckleberry Finn and was laid-back and playful, providing a nice balance to the super sweetness of the rest of the characters.

Licorice Whip

The best villain. He was funny, cool looking, and threatning. He was the main villain in Adventures on Ice Cream Island, but later on he became a good guy.

Purple Pieman

The Purple Pieman is the perfect villain for Strawberryland because he's not very menacing. He's also not a very good baker, which is funny. He's never successfully thwarted Strawberry Shortcake and her friends, and he does a funny little jig that makes him more comical than scary.
