I have a Nissan 1400 bakkie,installed with a 3gte engine,with 4 ball bearing turbo,which does 8.2seconds in the quarter mile,i totally killed the shelby on the track....The total cost of my vehicle is 12000.00

Veyron compared to SSC is a luxury car and is 600kg(1200lbs) heavier than SSC Aero. Veyron is supposed to be a luxury car and is on the top with SSC, if u take some weight out then it will easily go over 267mph.

According to the top gear website the Veyron SS is still no:1 (1:16:8) and it does go 267. Watch this on youtube /watch?v=HcjAT6A6wVA What the clip doesn't show is the VW test driver that goes out afterwards and hits 267.

first off it does go even near 267 neither does the ss wiki lies buddy, second its not even top five anymore on top gear, and lastly it wasnt the speed that was so cool it was the fact that it had a 1000 hp at best its number 3

As much as it pains me to say it (being a big SSC fan), the Bugatti was declared the fastest rising from its 253.2 mph to 267 - a whole ten above the SSC.

Also this is 2010 jackass. In 2009 the aero was faster but now the Bugatti SS has been recorded by World Record officials going at 267 MPH. So until SSC can make their car faster the Baggati is faster. Just type into google, world's fastest production cars. I rest my case.

no top speed record yet but it has 730hp it go from 0-60 in 2.6secs. 0-100 in 5.3secs and it does 9.4secs in the 1/4 mile and ibrakes from 100mph in 5.3secs without use an tcs or an abs. and dont forget that this is all jam packed into a v8 engin but its still a british based car beat that
