I think this is his best song. For me it is the most strait forward, and honest record. He has a few other good ones (Vultures, Daughters, Split Screen Sadness), but overall I think his style is too formulaic and dry. To me he sounds like he's trying too hard to be "classic", "funky", "jazzy", "bluesy", and "down white boy, but with a soulful sensitive side". Also I find his lyrics a bit trite. But just my opinion. When I was younger I liked him much more.
