Worst Characters on Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Season five was the best season despite how whiney Dawn could be. Kennedy is the absolute worst character in the Buffy verse hands down.

I'm thankful I stop watching Buffy after season 3, because I don't have to watch Dawn. It's not her fault though, season 5 was just bad (well seasons 4 & 5, plus half of 7).

Dawn is without a doubt THE worst character of Buffy. I could barely get past season 5 because of her.

Everything about Dawn is annoying. Just showing her in scenes makes them worse. She should have went to live with her dad after season 5.

Its in season 6 and 7 that Dawn becomes more annoying. And to think that everyone in Buffy doesn't remember the events from season 1,2,3 and 4 correctly due to the creating of a little sister. Once Dawn was introduced Continuity was thrown out the window and the show lost quite a lot of its quality

I liked Kennedy, despite the hate against her, I just think that it was too early after Tara. Maybe if they'd just foreshadowed and had them kiss in the final episode, it would've been better.

Also she had no chemistry whatsoever with Willow. It's like they tried to force a relationship just so they could show everyone Willow was still gay. It was stupid and just made me miss Tara even more.

i agree that Kennedy is the worst character Joss Weadon have ever created EVER! shes bossy, bratty plus she demand like hell... i hate it more when she and Willow got together, like Willow deserves more than that considering what she and Tara had...

I found him boring annoying and not near attractive enough for Buffy!!!!

I found it really painful to watch season 4, he was a waste of writing energy and an utter creep. There was nothing endearing or likable about him!! HE WAS JUST ICK

Hated him with a passion. Always looked like a creep with his stupid sneer. And he got Cordy? What the heck? I had hoped Angel had turned Angelus and killed them both when he found out. Connore really killed the show!

I KNOW RIGHT!!! Ugh I couldn't stand connor. I actually skipped season 4 because of his annoying little lines and his attempt at brooding. Not hot-angel-type brooding but whiny, emo teenage brooding. It made my shiver. And his just dried up and became poor after a while. I would just mute every scene he was in because he pissed me off so much!

She really piessed me off, but she's still better than Buffy and Dawn, which are both so annoying. Even tho their her kids.

I absolutely hate Joyce Summers and consider her the worst character of the whole show - yes, of course her concern for Buffy is undesrtandable etc. but every dialogue between buffy and her mom is basically the same. The same complaints from her mom. It feels like a tedious filler in the show and gets really ridiculous when it continues even AFTER her mom find out Buffy is the slayer.

Started watching Buffy on Netflix. Found Joyce ridiculously annoying but read some spoilers about her finding out Buffy's secret at the end of season 2. Looked forward to this, hoping she would be less nosey, annoying and stop her hindering behaviour. Instead, she does things like showing up to patrol duty during season 3 with snacks to "bond" with Buffy. Does she not realize she is just creating a liability and distraction for her daughter? And her general attitude towards Buffy's slaying during season 3 is awful. When she comes back home she treats her so badly I'm surprised Buffy doesn't run away again. Shows what a terrible parent she is in the episode TED when she sides with a man who assaults her daughter by the way.

OH MY GOD! Im so glad there are people like me!! I cant believe the stupidity she has! She's incredibly nosy , she knows nothing about slaying and witchcraft yet she acts like she does. especially on the season 3 she's getting more annoying each episode. its making it really difficult to watch!!

I agree, Joyce is in my opinion the worst character! I hate her, she is a terrible mother and she is so stupid.

i know right!!!! I also hated Joyce especially in season 3 with the witchcraft thingie, I say she should've been the first on the list.

Oh lord did I hate Joyce, I'm glad shes on here but she really should be higher on the list. Everything she ever did until season 5 was self-obsessed and hate filled for her daughter, I always got the feeling she was blaming Buffy for her marriage imploding and the way she warped everything in season 3 to make her the victim made me very angry.

This guy is someone that should have died after his story arc with Spike came to an end. However his real moment that he stunk up the screen was in the season finale where he wasted screen time with what attempted to be a heartwarming moment with Faith however the execution was terrible as no one really felt or cared for the character in a season finale when people were curious as to what would happen with the character they have watched and loved for 7 seasons as opposed to a 2 dimensional new guy with a cruddy backstory

I hated Dracula being on Buffy because there was absolutely no point. They made a classic character look like a joke and it just made no sense for them to be in the same universe. The portrayal of Dracula was what I found annoying.

I like Amy shes one of the best recurring characters and i dont know why she would on the list

Easily the worst character, terrible acting, and annoyingly written in the show. I blame writing and acting for such a terrible useless character. Worst fake accent, was she Irish or Jamaican, doesn't matter, so much cringe in her episodes.

Omg she was the worst! And that terrible accent! Half the time she sounded Irish.

She was weak, pathetic, and had zero substance to her character. She was there to be a lesbian, and what exactly? Her character was nothing but garden furniture.

I love Tara so much, she was so sweet and kind. She was one of the only characters I could actually stand.

Tara and Willow seemed like they would be an awesome duo, like best buds and all that, but the pairing seemed too forced to me and just annoyed me. Oz and Willow were perfect, why did they have to change it?!

Okay this is just getting desperate. This list should be about recurring characters not a sub in a couple of episodes. Plus, Flutie was friendly and the poor guy was eaten by hyaena possessed teenagers. Cut him some slack
