Fantasy Leagues are a way for groups of people to compete and demonstrate superior knowledge in a given subject. Although leagues mostly cater to sports fans, just about anything that can be measured can be made into a fantasy league.

Players draft the major Hollywood movie studios, then establish a scoring system based on gross sales of that studio's movies and award nominations and wins.

Draft musical artists for a designated period and award points based on weeks on Billboard charts, iTunes downloads and award nominations and wins.

Choose one or more different state or national lotteries. Then the league members "draft" numbers for a certain period of time. Every time a player's number is drawn for a lottery, he or she gets a point. The player with the most points at the end of a lottery "season" wins.

A great league for political junkies, players can draft members of Congress and establish scoring based on bills introduced, time logged on Sunday morning news shows and presidential bids. You can even dock points for scandals or public speaking gaffes.

Amongst several players, draft the 30 companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Average and award points based on quarterly performance and stock price.
