Worst Project Runway Contestants

Kenley’s overconfidence caused her to butt heads with everyone, including Project Runway’s host, Heidi Klum. Her unusual designs may have been interesting, but they certainly did not give her license to treat everyone else as if they were inferior.

Wendy seemed to feel as if she had something to prove for all of Season 1, especially because she was one of the older contestants. She had conflicts with almost every other designer, she constantly made excuses for her poor performance, and, in the end, just seemed to be a generally unpleasant person who thought more of herself than she ought.

Stella’s insistence on using black leather for every challenge and her limited design sensibility (i.e., rock star chic) made her one of the least interesting designers on the show, while her grating voice and thick New York accent made her one of the least likeable.

With his oversized ego, eccentric designs and personality, and undeniable flair, Santino certainly brought drama to Season 2 of Project Runway, but it wasn’t necessarily welcome drama. By season’s end, everyone wanted to see him gone.

Although eccentric personalities are often fascinating to watch, Elisa’s eccentricities were more annoying than interesting. The worst moment was when she spit on the fabric to mark it instead of using the more generally accepted chalk.
