The New Orleans Saints, down 7 with 7 seconds left to play, score on a miraculous 75-yard touchdown. All they needed was for Carney to make the automatic extra point to send the game to overtime, but he missed it.

The Cubs were leading 3-0 in the 8th inning of Game 6 and were five outs away from their first World Series in decades. Then fan Steve Bartman interferred with a potential catch by Moises Alou, followed by the Cubs allowing 8 runs in the inning to the Marlins, who would go on to win Games 6 and 7.
