Of the games I've played, Super Mario 64 is my favorite. I was never good at the 2D Mario games, but I was actually able to play Mario 64 successfully. I thought Sunshine was a bit of a let down, and I've never played Galaxy, but it looks really good. So, I vote Mario 64 since it was the first 3D Mario game.
