Fortunately, most of these germs are easily handled by our immune system and a little germ exposure can actually be a good thing since it builds up the immune system. Still, it would probably be good to clean these up a bit more regularly.

Food particles are a perfect environment for growing bacteria, add to that the moist nature of sinks and bacteria are set. Toilets are much much cleaner than sinks. Every time you wash your dishes also be sure to clean the sink with something stronger than water and bleach or disinfect it regularly.
