I know that this is from a sequel and generally they suck, but the Lion King 2 is actually pretty good and the music is quality. I'm pretty sure it's because the Lion King is essentially on a Shakespeare kick with Hamlet followed by Romeo and Juliet so the plot of the Lion King 2 can stand on it's own.
