Oleta Adams Report Abuse

Comments:
A "PK" and musical prodigy, Oleta Adams, is one of my favorite singers. Her rich voice and expertise on the piano make her a cut above the average musician. Her rendition of "Get Here" became the anthem of Dessert Storm. Her albums, Circle of One, Evolution, Movin' On and the gospel album Come Walk with Me are testaments of her wealth of musical talent.

Cissy Houston Report Abuse
A member of the famous Drinkard Singers of the 1950. Cissy Houston began singing at an early age. She was probably the most sought after session singer of the 60's. As a member of the Sweet Inspirations, Aretha's original back-up group, her voice was present on some of the greatest music of the 1960's. If she had come into her own during another time period, arguably, her success could have rivaled that of her daughter, Whitney Houston. Her flexibility, range, tonal purity and the unparallelled scope and beauty of her vocal instrument itself was like no other voice I had heard. The unforgettable vocal obbligato she performs on Aretha's "Ain't No Way" sends chills through me every time I hear it. It and her voice are timeless.
