Pierre E. Trudeau was the best and the most intelligent Prime Minister of all time. He was the best man who has the vision to lead and build Canada. He will be always the best Prime Minister for Canadian' s history. Dr. TNS
lol... testy testy. someone says "increased the deficit from 0 to 25 billion" and the best someone else can say is call it "uneducated" and call conservatives "illiterate". Someone ironic seeing as only someone who is educated a certain amount on the topic would know of Trudeau's overspending.. you don't get that on CBC documentaries at all, and likely they wouldn't be able to write about it if their were illiterate. The last post is about as ignorant, condescending, and rude as you can get. Canada now has a crippling 1.2 trillion dollar debt, which we will never pay off. Spending more money than you earn is never a good thing, whether you're a middle class worker or a prime minister. Trudeau set a precedent of overspending, and it has gotten us to where we are today, living lavishly above our means, and leaving it to our future generations to pay for it.
Best thing that has ever happened to this country. I can only assume that the above commenter is as uneducated as they are illiterate, as Conservative voters tend to be.
If by best PM in Cdn history, you mean the worst then yes.
Crippled the Cdn economy which still hasn't recovered, increased the deficit from $0 to $25 billion, and made the country a joke in terms of international investment.

Stephen Harper and his party are continuing to follow in the american foot steps and I know I am not the only one that doesn't want Canada to be a follower. Canada is such a fantastic country that it deserves to be a leader but with the people in politics now that might never happen.
While certainly a horrible leader of the conservative party with a brain dead cabinet (for the most part), Harper has bettered out economy, and that is what matters. (He's the best choice, believe me)
Comitted voter fraud, only prime minister ever to be held in contempt of parliament. George Bush 2.0
Because I'm sure it's his doing that our economy is doing fine, just like he's the reason why Canada never went to Iraq.^not. (see what I did there?).
wow, people have a pretty big hate on for the guy that is leading Canada in economic prosperity when many other developed countries in the world are crumbling around us.
Just seeing his smug little Albertan loving face makes me want to gouge out my eyes with the nearest blunt object.
Quite possibly the worst Prime Minister Canada has ever had. He and his Conservative Party have reshaped Canada's image into something that is completely unrecognizable. The man is an authoritarian bully, who rules his cabinet with an iron fist and frequently flouts the democratic principles of Parliament by proroguing it on two separate occasions, when his government was threatened.
Stephen Harper is absolutely a tyrant.
United the right and led the new party to power, he is a superb political strategist who has maintained the integrity of Canada's finances against the assault from the coalition of left wing parties.

inspirational PM who bore Mulroney's unpopularity in the 1993 election. the failures of her tenure were mulroney's fault, which, combined with her bumbling re-election campaign, condemned her to being Canada's 3rd shortest tenured PM
