While the coffee is amazing the donuts are average. Just because there's a huge variety doesn't make them better.

Krispy Kreme
These donuts are truly unique. They are so lightweight and soft that they almost melt in your mouth. The original ones are the best.

Tim Horton's
This is a Canadian donut chain that has branched out into some states in the US. The donuts are always fresh, there is great variety and the coffee is also great.

I'm from North Carolina -- home of Krispy Kreme -- and Tim Horton's is the best donut chain I've seen. Like Dunkin Donuts with good donuts, or Starbucks without the pretention (and good donuts).

Worked there, coffee is the best, and the donuts are always fresh and chewey and gooey and hot, and the dough is always just perfect. GOD IM HUNGRY!

Bouchon Bakery
This is a small chain with only a couple of stores, however their donuts are among the best in the country. On weekends, they have specials including donuts made with homemade jam.
